| What is Changing Church?
Changing Church is a ministry and mission of Prince of Peace
(ELCA) to the church at large. Our tag line is "providing tools
for modern ministry." Our focus is processing information, fostering
change and renewal, and encouraging, in whatever way we can, more effective
ministry.

Church?
In recent years, mainline denominations have been steadily losing members.
Many churches struggle to understand and meet the ever changing needs of their
members and community with information and resources that are quite often out
of date.
Prince of Peace is one of a handful of mega churches in the
country, a center of creative thinking, programming, and risk taking for the
sake of the Gospel. We have long been known as a leader among Lutheran
congregations, embracing the obligations that are part of responsible
leadership. Churches asking questions often turn first to other churches.
This question and answer process started informally, but has developed into
a ministry system. Church leaders routinely seek counsel or experience, and we
are here to process and respond to those requests. All inquiries are directed
to Changing Church.

Church actually do for other churches?
- We provide an "information alley" to over 7,000 churches and
individuals through conferences and a
quarterly online newsletter. We bring in
speakers, conduct seminars, raise questions, and encourage dialogue around
issues that are critical to the future of the church.
- We take mini-conferences or "coaching clinics" to other regions
of the United States, providing congregational leaders an inexpensive,
convenient opportunity to participate and learn in their own environment.
- We publish and continue to distribute to churches the
music and
worship resources original to
Prince of Peace.
- We developed and publish the original confirmation materials,
to Know, to Live, to Grow.
These contemporary, upbeat, active lessons about the Bible and Christian living
are used in churches nationwide.
- We provide churches with a weekly subscription service, the
toolkit. It contains worship
services, sermons, and small group discussions for all ages -- preschoolers to
adults.
- We have a toll-free 800 number for incoming calls from churches all over
the United States.
